Iran - the next target?
US recently admitted of having already designed a plan to attack Iran, and after a continuous increase of the US strike power available in the area, this is to be taken seriously. Of course, these actions are against international law, but who cares? For sure not the Obama administration who, despite the Nobel Prize, accelerated the process!

War in Afghanistan
I will "follow the trend" of these days and say a few words about the war in Afghanistan... A war begun as a "war on terror" more than 8 years ago and continued as a (very dangerous) training camp for the NATO troops until nowadays. Afghanistan was, anyway, a theater of war for decades, as Americans and Russians disputed influence over that strategic land.
About the tens of thousands of documents revealed these days in mass-media, well, they are probably useful for people who have a stupid and serene view of the war (Hollywood-old-style), for the others there is nothing shocking in all these. In all wars, crimes and abuses are common fact and not rare "incidents", and the double-play Pakistan is accused of is actually state politics for most of our "brave" nations, with US being an extreme case!
So, these disclosures are by no means a step towards peace, in my opinion, and at most they might be a step towards changing the place of the war - to Pakistan, North Korea or Iran for example. For sure, the troops will not come home and will find "something to do" in that part of the world.
Why all these? Because US economy was driven in the last century by wars, and American politicians are too biased, or too plain stupid, to see alternatives. Not to mention the clear mental illness of the head generals from Pentagon, who continue to see world domination above survival of the species in the priority list.
