Don't nuke our future

It seems surreal, like in those movies or dreams in which you see an accident in slow motion... With the difference that now, the entire human civilization could go to ashes in a few minutes.

It's already more than half a year since explicit nuclear threats are on the table. The tension rises and the public seems to have somehow got used with this - partly because the new generations do not know what a war actually is, and what a nuclear war would mean.

Will all the billions of people just wait for the disaster to happen?! Just hoping that we'll go through somehow? Billions of unique creatures, with their billions of dreams, hopes and worries, will just be killed because few dozen lunatics reached the wrong buttons and are now ruling the world?

These lunatics don't give a damn about people and life in general, in their "geostrategic" games. Not even for their children and nephews, if any. Or, they count (mistakenly, because they're just plain stupid) on their well hidden bunkers for their survival past the End of the world...

Are we going to just let them destroy everything?

Where are the huge protests in all capitals in the world for PEACE? Why don't we force these politicians to follow the will of the people they represent and are supposed to serve?!

We do not want war! We do not want to kill our neighbor because he/she is of a different nationality, we don't want the borders to move 50km in this or that direction, we don't want to kill and die for the crazy ambitions of a stupid president or minister! We do not want nuclear weapons, at all! The "geostrategic equilibrium" is a big stupid lie, as it is the "deterrent" role of nuclear weapons.

War against who?

After the paramount success of the Glasgow meeting, ending with no serious commitment about tackling climate change, signs of a potential armed conflict in Eastern Europe make for the next "headline" in our information-suffocated world.

Really, is it conceivable that in this century the masses can still be manipulated in such a way that the absurdity of a war can appear as desirable?! It's about spheres of influence, fight for controlling the remaining resources, and the reasons can be understood from the point of view of the politicians who have forgot long ago that they are in the people's service. But would still millions of people accept to be dragged into this madness and kill and die for the glory of the maniacs ruling the world?!

For a moment, during the Glasgow meeting on climate change, I hoped that maybe the world would have reached the consciousness level to see the climate change as the global enemy, to fight it together instead of fighting among nations for the last remaining oil barrel... But no, real action is still far away, the effects of greenhouse gasses probably already irreversible, while population is fooled with invented conflicts which are just catalysts for increased control and higher concentration of wealth and power for the few.
